Hungarian Nationals statistic - update

Hello everyone!

Writing this blog is becoming more and more challenging! :) Two years have passed since the last post, and we've had five more championships since the "Great Optimist OB Statistics" entry. I think it’s definitely worth updating the statistics so the current decision-makers can see the changes in numbers.

Without much explanation, here’s one of the most important charts: the participation numbers.

The next chart shows the gender distribution:

The following two charts illustrate the youth/juvenile ratio by gender (some interesting trends are beginning to emerge):

Finally, here’s an intriguing statistic on the locations:

In the original post (toward the end), there were a few interesting stats related to performance that also deserve an update because the new generation is making waves! Most notably, we have managed to match a record set back in 1987 by Bernadett Eszes. For the first time since then, a female sailor has taken the overall first place! Congratulations to Boróka Fehér!

The younger sailors are also making strong claims for top 3 positions, so this list needed an update as well! :)

Since 1986, in the past 37 years, cadett sailors have finished in first place a total of eight times (and in many cases, in 2nd or 3rd place as well).

Summary

Last time, I promised I wouldn’t dive into more data...but I couldn’t resist! :) I’m curious to see where these emerging trends will lead us.
