18 mm Harken ball bearing FLY block. For ropes max diam. 5mm.
Complete with Harken hook-in block and 29 mm Ti-Lite block with 3 mm low stretch Dyneema® with spliced loops.
Harken ball bearing hook-in block.Used on Blackgold racing masts. Due to the curved saddle the block rests against the mast in a fixed position which prevents mast wear and creates a halyard system with less friction.
40 mm Harken single block spliced with Dyneema® to a safety snap shackle.
The lightweight alternative to a block, with no moving parts this is an extremely low maintainance item. Hard anodized with PTFE coating to provide the smoothest wear resistant surface possible. These low friction rings can be used in various applications: O3001 as lead ring for control lines, OW3002 as Optimist halyard block and OW3003 as Optimist mainsheet block.
7 meter Optimist tapered mainsheet, made of abrasion resistant PES material. Tapered from 9 to 6.5 mm. Thick and soft where it touches your hand. Thin and smooth elsewhere for less friction. Tapered on both ends. Long enough to create a 4:1 mainsheet with 2 boom blocks.

Designed specifically for Optimist sailors, this new mainsheet is ready to go — just tie it at the thinner end for a 3:1 or 4:1 setup and hit the water! The improved length ratios ensure that upwind, the thicker, more comfortable section sits perfectly in your hand, while downwind the tapered section automatically takes over for smoother trimming. The 8–6 mm rope combines a lightweight HT polyester core with a soft, cotton-feel cover, offering both strength and comfort. The tapered ends reduce weight and allow the sheet to glide easily through the blocks.Length: 7 m Diameter: 6–8–6 mm Material: HT polyester core with a polyester/cotton outer cover. As with any mainsheet, friction between the blocks and rope is natural and may lead to wear over time, especially when the ratchet is engaged.
The new Optimist mainsheet has been specially developed for Optimist sailors and is ready to use straight out of the package. No cutting required — simply tie the thinner end according to the 3:1 or 4:1 system and you’re set to sail! Thanks to its refined design and optimized lengths, the thicker, hand-friendly section always reaches the ratchet block while sailing upwind, while the thinner part takes over when bearing away downwind. The rope features a variable diameter of 8–6 mm with a highly durable polyester cover and a uniform HT polyester core. The thicker section provides a soft, cotton-like grip, while the tapered part runs smoothly through the blocks for effortless trimming. Both ends are tapered. Length: 7 m Diameter: 6 mm – 8 mm – 6 mm Construction: HT polyester core with a cotton-touch / HT polyester cover.Note: Friction naturally occurs between ropes and blocks, especially when the ratchet is engaged, which may cause gradual wear over time.
Meet the next-generation Optimist mainsheet — designed for performance, comfort, and smooth handling! Developed with sailors in mind, this 8–6 mm tapered sheet ensures that upwind, the thicker, softer section stays in your hands, while downwind the thinner part runs effortlessly through the blocks. Its abrasion-resistant polyester cover and high-tech HT core combine durability with lightweight flexibility, giving you total control in every maneuver. No cutting or setup required — just tie it in and sail away!Specifications: Diameter: 6–8–6 mm Length: 7 m Material: HT polyester core, cotton-touch / technical polyester coverAs with all ropes and blocks, friction occurs, which is also true for the Optimist ratchet block and mainsheet rope; especially when the ratchet is engaged. Due to this friction, the block will naturally wear the rope over time.
NEW! TaperPro mainsheet designed specifically for Optimist Sailors! Take it out of the packaging, simply tie it at the thinner end according to a 3:1 or 4:1 system, and without cutting, it’s ready for immediate use! Thanks to the new design and adjusted tapered lengths, the thicker part of the rope will always fall to the mainblock when sailing in upwind. When rigged with a 3:1 ratio, it shifts back to the thinner section during a reach-downwind course. For a 4:1 setup, this happens a bit earlier, during a beam reach to broad reach. This mainsheet rope, developed for Optimist sailors, features a diameter that varies between 8 mm and 6 mm. The outer sheath is made of durable, wear-resistant PES. The tapering ensures the rope glides smoothly through the block. To reduce weight, the tapered rope consists of two sections with different diameters, but the rope core remains consistent throughout its length. Thanks to this technology, the section held in the hand can be thicker, with a cotton-like feel that is hand-friendly, while the thinner section can have a more abrasion-resistant sheath. The tapering also helps the rope glide more easily through the block. Both ends of the rope are tapered.Specifications: Diameter: 6 mm - 8 mm - 6 mm Length: 7 meters Composition: HT technical polyester core, cotton-like polyester/HT technical polyester sheath As with all ropes and blocks, friction occurs, which is also true for the Optimist ratchet block and mainsheet rope; especially when the ratchet is engaged. Due to this friction, the block will naturally wear the rope over time.
